During this episode of Arab Voices, we will have 3 segments:
1) Electronic Intifada Newscast - A summary of the latest developments in occupied Palestine, including the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing Israeli atrocities in the West Bank, and the latest developments in Lebanon that is under constant bombardment by Apartheid Israel, presented by Nora Barrows-Friedman, associate editor at the Electronic Intifada.
2) Israeli Settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and the Syrian Golan Heights - An update from Nada Al-Nashif, UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, presenting findings at the Human Rights Council in Geneva on the Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, as well as the Israeli occupied Syrian Golan Heights. Al-Nashif says the Israeli government had “escalated steps to consolidate its annexation of large parts of the Occupied Palestinian Territory,” while Palestinians were subjected to “deeper oppression.”
3) The Israeli Legal System Was Built for Impunity - A presentation by Sawsan Zaher, Palestinian Human Rights Lawyer based in Haifa, occupied Palestine, at the United Nations Palestinian Rights Committee meeting during the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, arguing that the Israeli legal system was not failing by accident, but was built to protect soldiers, commanders, and state institutions from accountability for crimes against Palestinians.
