2) Commemorating the 78th anniversary of the ongoing Palestinian Nakba - On May 13, 2026, the Institute for Middle East Understanding Policy Project held an online conversation co-hosted with Americans for Justice in Palestine Action and the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights Action, commemorating the 78th anniversary of the ongoing Palestinian Nakba. In this episode of Arab Voices, we will air portions of that conversation. The moderator, Dana Shubat, Government Relations Director at IMEU Policy Project, spoke with Rep. Rashida Tlaib about reintroducing her resolution "Recognizing the ongoing Nakba and Palestinian refugees’ rights". She also spoke with Yousef Munayyer, Head of the Palestine/Israel Program and Senior Fellow at the Arab Center Washington DC, and Iman Abid, Director of Advocacy and Organizing at the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights.
